Tsumugi silk quilt
This quilt top is made with two types of vintage Japanese tsumugi silk.
Both silks are from dead-stock, unused bolts, and have the characteristic charming uneven texture of tsumugui.
It has a middle layer of top quality warm and soft wool batting and a bottom layer of black silk doupioni, which folds around the edges to create the binding or border. The border is hand-sewn.
