Red Quilt with Hand-Stitching
SOLD
This quilt top is made with three different vintage Japanese silks. The center panel, with printed flowers, is from PreWWII. The orange borders are meisen silk from the 60’s. The red borders are also meisen silk from the 60’s and have hand-quilted details echoing the rectangular shapes that were stitched by expert Amish quilters.
It has wool batting and the backing is brown doupioni silk, which folds around the edges to create the hand-sewn binding.
We recommend professional cleaning.
