Pale-Green Quilt with Birds
The center panel of this quilt is made with a bolt of dead-stock vintage tsumugi silk. It has white and grey bird and geometric designs and has the distinctive uneven weave of tsumugi silk.
The border is vintage meisen silk (from pre WWII) with grey and mauve large flowers and arabesques on very dark-brown background. It has a black doupioni silk backing which folds over to the front to create a border and has wool batting.
